These models are suitable for entering the world of Rolex.
A Rolex watch does not have to remain a impossible dream: five popular wrist watches that are affordable, with price, image and all the information shows this article. Because everyone knows Rolex, but not everyone can afford every model of the most prestigious and coveted watch brand in the world. But our selection shows that for beginners there are both pur-designed models–such as the Rolex Datejust II–as well as more special watches–such as the Rolex Milgauss. Of course, these are not luxury watches made of gold and with precious stones. However, for the accuracy of these clocks with a maximum deviation of-2 to+2 seconds per day, the Rolex-own certificate “chronometer of the Supelative” guarantees. This confirms that the movements carry the certificate as a chronometer tested by the COSC, and also states that the accuracy of the gear is maintained even in the switched-on state.
Affordable Rolex watches #1: Rolex Oyster Perpetual
Rolex calls it the epitome of the oyster and the implementation of the oyster in its purest. There is really nothing to add to this, because this watch is the ideal entry into the world of Rolex. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual offers its owner much of the benefits for which the brand is known, including some of its best technical developments.
The housing made of stainless steel 904L is available in sizes 26, 31 and 34 millimeters. Since this year there is a further housing size with 39 millimeter diameter. All housings are up to 10 bar-tight, also thanks to the screw Twinlock-crown, which is equipped with the patented double sealing system. The housing component is made of a solid stainless stahlblock, the cover glass is made of sapphire and is scratch-resistant. Depending on the size of the housing, another Rolex Manufactory provides the caliber for the drive: in the 26-millimeter and 31-millimeter versions, the Rolex 2231, in the 34-millimeter version, the Rolex 3130 and in the largest oyster perpetual with 39 millimeter diameter the Rolex 3132. You together is the automatic for the elevator. The special accuracy enables a spiral spring that is highly praised by collectors: the patented blue Parachrom-Breguetspirale; It is characterized by its resistance to vibrations, magnetic fields and temperature fluctuations. At present the Rolex Oyster Perpetual is available in ten variants with different dial colors–so the entry into the world of Rolex should not be difficult. The price: 5,150 euro.
Further variants of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual can be found here.
Affordable Rolex watches #2: Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer
The Rolex Explorer is an absolute cult, not only among the Rolex models, but also among the sturdy and precisely crafted wristwatches in general. She accompanied Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in the first ascent of Mount Everest in May 1953. The new Explorer came 2010 to the market. However, it remained faithful to the tradition that dates back to the 1950s.
A 39-millimeter oyster case with Twinlock crown and sapphire glass protects the movement 3132 (automatic) from damage. The Spiral Spring–again a blue Parachrom-Breguetspirale, which promises a precise time measurement–is protected by the Paraflex shock protection, which was developed and patented by Rolex.
The bracelet also features the patented Oysterlock folding clasp and is equipped with the EasyLink extension system, which makes it easy to extend by about 5 millimeters. For the Baselworld 2016, Rolex equips the numbers of the explorer with Chromalight luminous mass. (pointers and indexes were already glowing night.) In this version your Price is currently at 5,900 Euro.
Affordable Rolex Watches #3: Rolex Oyter Perpetual Datejust II
The Rolex Datejust II is a wristwatch for every occasion, it fits both a jeans and a suit and is thus the epitome of versatility. It also reflects the tradition-rich and timeless design that is typical of Rolex. Although it has been developed further since its creation in the year 1945, the Datejust will at first glance recognize the tradition of style and elegance. 2009 Rolex presented the current model: the Datejust II. With a diameter of 41 millimeters, this watch satisfies the desire for larger wrist watches. The Datejust II is the only watch in the overview that offers one of the most distinctive technical features of Rolex: The Cyclops magnifying glass above the date display. This magnifying glass was developed 1953 by Rolex to make it easier to read the date by enlarging it by two and a half fold. The date can also be corrected quickly via the crown. The oyster housing made of stainless steel 904L can equip the buyer with another characteristic of Rolex: the fluted bezel. When the housing 1926 was presented, the fluting of the crown was functional. It made it possible to screw the crown to keep the inside of the watch waterproof. The Rolex 3136 (Automatic) features a Microstella balance with variable moment of inertia, a Paraflex shock protection and a Parachrom-Breguetspirale. 6,500 euro is the price of the Rolex Datejust II with polished bezel. The models with fluted bezel are more expensive.
Affordable Rolex watches #4: Rolex Oyster Perpetual submariner
The Rolex Submariner is recognized worldwide immediately. It is a prime example of precision under pressure and conveys a certain sense of adventure. In the year 1953 it was the first wristwatch that remained waterproof up to a depth of 100 meters. In our selection we chose the model without a date display (reference 114060) as it represents the entry into the world of submariners.
Many Rolex fans believe that they are the submariners in their purest form. After all, the original models had no date display, and finally this watch is intended for divers who do not have to read the current date under water. Thus, the Submariner offers an unrestricted time display and Rolex calls them the archetype of the divers wristwatch. It’s pretty good: Today, the oyster casing is made of stainless steel 904L up to a depth of 300 meters waterproof. The blue-glowing pointers and indexes promise first-class legibility and are protected by sapphire crystal. The patented Triplock-Crown protects against penetrating water thanks to three seals, it is only available in fashion Rolex watches . The rotatable bezel with 60-minute scaling made of scratch-resistant Cerachrom ceramics offers the possibility to read the exact diving time. The triangular zero marking of the bezel is also occupied by the Chromalight luminous mass. Divers also appreciate the bracelet with Glidelock system, which allows a graduated adjustment of length. A precise time measurement is particularly important under water. For the corresponding accuracy Rolex 3130 (automatic). The heart of the movement is the balance with variable moment of inertia and golden Microstella weights, as well as the Blue Parachrom spiral, which allows stability in the event of impacts, vibrations, magnetic fields and temperature changes. The height-adjustable balance bridge also ensures a stable positioning and increases the shock resistance of the Rolex submariner. The price: 6,800 euro.
Affordable Rolex watches #5: Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss
The Rolex Milgauss was developed 1956 for engineers and technicians who are exposed to strong magnetic fields at work, because magnetism can impair the performance of mechanical clocks. Today we encounter magnetic fields everywhere–from the refrigerator door to tablet covers to hand and wallet closures, we are surrounded by magnets. Magnetic fields are also common in some areas of work, such as telecommunications, medical technology, aerospace and electrical engineering. Rolex solved the problem by developing and patenting a magnetic shield that withstands magnetic fields of up to 1,000 Gauss.
It is made of ferromagnetic alloys and protects the movement. This invention allowed Rolex 1956 to patent and developed it continuously since then. In addition, the components of the movement of the Milgauss, the Rolex 3131 (automatic), consist of innovative non-magnetizable materials. The wheel from a magnetic nickel-phosphorus alloy is produced in a complex process called “ultraviolet lithography” (UV-Liga) at Rolex. The balance works with a patented blue Parachrom-Breguetspirale. But of course, the caliber is not only protected from magnetic fields: The Oyster case with Twinlock crown ensures that it is optimally enclosed and up to a pressure of ten bar is safe from water. The name of the Milgauss is a composition from the French word for a thousand (“mille”) and the unit of measure for the strength of magnetic fields (Gauss). The Milgauss was particularly popular with scientists working in the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva. 2007 Rolex presented a new generation of Milgauss, which shows the full range of the technological know-how of Rolex. The orange second hand in the form of a flash is inspired by the original. For a high wearing comfort, the oyster band of the Milgauss is equipped with the patented EasyLink system, which can be extended by about 5 millimeters. So the watch has its price of 7,450 euros.
